The legendary Russian MMA fighter, Fedor Emelianenko, defeated the American, Tim Johnson, in the Bellator 269 heavyweight tournament.

As specified, Johnson at the Bellator tournament, which was held in Moscow, lost to Emelianenko by knockout in the first round. This was a 40th career win for Emelianenko and could now push him into potential talk of a Bellator title fight in what might be his retirement bout.
Speaking to the media at his own post-fight press conference, Emelianenko said he would sit down and talk over his future with the Bellator chief, Scott Coker, but suggested he was keen on at least one more fight – potentially in Russia, and potentially with Bellator gold on the line.
It is reminded that Emelianenko is 45 years old. In MMA, he now has 40 wins and 6 defeats. As part of Bellator, the Russian had 6 fights with 4 wins and 2 losses. The fighter is a four-time world champion in mixed martial arts in the heavyweight version of Pride FC, two-time in the Rings and WAMMA versions, as well as four-time world champion and nine-time Russian champion in combat sambo.
Johnson is 36 years old, he ranks second in the Bellator ranking among heavyweights (Emelianenko is not included in the rating). In total, he has 15 wins and 8 defeats on his account.
