Russian Model Decided to Show Children Russia [Video]

Last year, Russian supermodel, philanthropist, and UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador Natalia Vodianova began to work on a new travel show project, Russian Holidays, spletnik reports. The show premiered on April 25, 2021.

Natalia appears in the show with her children from marriage to the British aristocrat Justin Portman, 19-year-old Lucas, 15-year-old Neva, and 13-year-old Viktor. Vodianova said that she wanted to show Russia to her children who have lived in Europe since their childhood and know little about her homeland.

“Look, what a beauty! If you show these pictures to a foreigner, he will say that this is South Africa or New Zealand, Switzerland, or the foothills of the Andes. And no one will think that this could be Russia. I want to change this. I want my children to see that Russia can be very different,” Vodianova said.

With children, the model, despite the coronavirus pandemic, managed to visit many parts of Russia last year. In the first four episodes, they will talk about their travels in the south of the country, namely Sochi, Adygea, Pyatigorsk, and North Ossetia. And in other episodes, Natalia and her children will show viewers the north of the country (Murmansk, the Kola Peninsula, and Karelia).

“I hope my children can feel like a part of this country. Feel like Russians,” Vodianova concluded.
