Volleyball players of the Russian national team defeated the Argentine team in the match of the preliminary stage of the League of Nations. The meeting which took place in Rimini, Italy, ended with a score of 3:1 (25:19, 25:23, 21:25, 25:19) in favour of the Russian team, RIA Novosti reports.
It is noted that the Russian team got the seventh victory and is in the third place in the standings. The most productive player of the winners’ side in the match against Argentina was Egor Klyuka who scored 15 points.
“I am very glad that we managed to win. The Argentine team is a very inconvenient opponent for us. They play a lot in defence, make few mistakes. It’s hard to score them first time,” the setter for the Russian team, Igor Kobzar, said.
It is reminded that the Russian team will play the next match in the tournament on June 17 against the Bulgarian team.
