New submarines will be delivered to the Pacific Fleet in the coming years, according to the statement of the Chief of Staff of the Command of the Submarine Forces of the Pacific Fleet, Rear Admiral Arkady Navarsky.

“We are expecting the arrival of four submarines: two Borey and two Yasen. Their construction is almost complete. Some of them are already participating in sea trials,” he specified.
It is reported that the updated cruisers of project 955 “Borey-A” are nuclear submarines of the fourth generation, carriers of solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missiles R-30 “Bulava”, the most modern types of weapons. In turn, the 885M Yasen-M multipurpose nuclear submarines are equipped with Onyx, Zircon or Kalibr cruise missiles. As stated, currently. the submarines “Novosibirsk” and “Krasnoyarsk” are being prepared for testing.
