Airports Council International (ACI) which is the only global trade representative of the world’s airports conducted a study on passenger satisfaction with the quality of service at European airports in 2020.
The Council noted that the COVID-19 pandemic had a dramatic impact on global passenger traffic in 2020 as well as changing customer perceptions and expectations of the airport experience. However, despite the challenges, airports around the world managed to collect surveys from their customers throughout the year and receive awards for their service. It is specified that in total, 89 individual airports around the world were awarded.
As for the Russian airports in this list, the best ones turned out to be: Krasnoyarsk International Airport (in the category of 2-5 million passengers), Sochi International Airport (5-15 million passengers), Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg (15-25 million passengers), Moscow Domodedovo Airport (25-40 million passengers), and Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport (over 40 million passengers). All these airports were awarded for the best size and region.
