The Russian Post plans to launch the delivery of parcels from 27 branches in Moscow in the coming month with the help of 36 unmanned delivery robots from the Yandex company.
It is noted that if a user is in the coverage area, then after choosing the delivery of the parcel to his house, he will see an option with robot delivery in the application interface. As specified, the service can be used through the Mail application on Android with the start cost of 1 rub.
It is also explained that users will be able to track the status of a delivery and the location of a robot on the map, so when it delivers a parcel to the entrance of a house, a notification will come to the user’s phone. Next, a user will receive a verification code in an SMS, which will need to be entered in the application, after which a robot will open the lid and the parcel can be picked up.
