The Russian Premier League (RPL) has announced the release of NFT tokens linked to the digital cards of players of all 16 football clubs in the league. To do this, the league has entered into a partnership agreement with the Sorare marketplace.

The RPL noted that the total audience of football fans in Russia exceeds 1 billion viewers per year and 10 million fans in the digital space. The partnership with Sorare will allow the league to get an additional source of income, and the marketplace to increase the audience and geography of coverage. Thus, the total turnover of Sorare cards in Russia since January 2021 is 7 million US dollars, with a monthly increase of 23 per cent. In total, Sorare has 40 thousand users from Russia.
