Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussed the gas hub project in a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. This is reported by the Anadolu agency.
During the talks, Erdogan assured Putin that Ankara has strengthened and continues to strengthen the energy infrastructure necessary for the creation of a natural gas center. In addition, the Turkish President announced the preparation of a roadmap for the implementation of the hub project.
As reminded, it became known on January 3 that Turkey had started work on the implementation of the gas hub project proposed by Russia. According to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the country, Fatih Donmez, the preliminary preparation period is a year. The politician also said that over time, the interest of European countries in the project may increase.
“We think there will be a lot of customers from Europe on this platform,” he said.
