Covid-19-free cafes and restaurants are to be organized in Moscow soon. The President of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia, Igor Bukharov, expressed his opinion on this initiative on the air of RadioSputnik.
An experiment will be held in Moscow on the organization of “COVID-free” catering points, in which from one and a half to two dozen restaurants will take part. Restaurants, where 100 per cent of employees are vaccinated against coronavirus infection, will be announced as COVID-19-free zones. These places will invite only vaccinated or recovered visitors who will have to confirm their status using a QR code from the public services portal.
According to Bukharov, the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia supports the initiative.
“The epidemiological situation is complex, it is a concern for both employees and visitors. We have the right to establish our own rules at our own enterprise,” he said.
The expert added that several countries have already done this and their experience was quite positive.
“We called up with our colleagues in Israel, there was a complete lockdown. After the employees were vaccinated, they were allowed to open restaurants and continue to let people who are vaccinated by checking a document at the entrance without restrictions,” Bukharov summed up.
