In Ingushetia, North Ossetia and the Belgorod region, schoolchildren were forced to completely abandon the use of mobile phones in the classroom.
According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper, Minister of education Olga Vasilyeva on December 14 told that such recommendations were sent to Russian schools from Rospotrebnadzor, Rosobrnadzor and the Ministry of Education.
More than sixty percent show schools in Udmurtia, Kemerovo, and the Sverdlovsk region; more than fifty – in Magadan, Perm, Kurgan region, and 37.5 percent in Kamchatka implemented the recommendations.
In total, students from 10,628 schools were included in the lists of excommunicated from smartphones. According to Vasilyeva, 61 percent of students, 89 percent of parents, and 90 percent of teachers supported restricting the use of mobile phones during class. That is, not only adults, but most of the teenagers agree: personal smartphones distract from the education process.
