Needy Russian students were offered to provide the necessary equipment for the duration of distance learning, RT reports, citing a corresponding letter sent to the Russian Ministry of Education.

It was proposed to give those schoolchildren who need the necessary equipment for the learning process (routers and laptops). To receive the equipment, parents would need to submit an appropriate application. Social activists emphasize that the equipment would be issued free of charge.
According to Anna Marks, director of the Institute for Progressive Education, on average, there are about 15 computers per 100 students in the Russian Federation, while the rest are in school. Some of them, the expert believes, could be temporarily transferred for use to those in need.
