Schools and colleges of the Russian Federation from January 1, 2023, should use only state information systems in the educational process, according to the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
“Since January 1, organizations of basic general and secondary vocational education are required to use exclusively state information systems within the framework of educational programmes. This is regulated by amendments that were introduced in 2021 to the Federal Law ‘On Education’,” the department explained.
The Ministry of Education recalled that the federal state information system “My School” has been prepared for educational institutions, among the key principles of which is ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of information. According to the Ministry, the system complements the traditional education system and should not replace personal communication.
A user of the My School system has access to his personal accounts, a library of verified educational content, a testing subsystem, cloud storage, document editing and other services. As specified, at the moment, the library of digital educational materials contains more than 6.5 thousand pieces of content.
