Russian Scientists Developed Navigator for Blind People

One of the Russian centers of IT developments, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, last year released several interesting startup projects, as said by the Director of the Business Incubator of the Financial University Anton Losev.

“This year we can celebrate two startups. One of them is a navigator for the blind, which allows people with visual disabilities and ordinary people to navigate indoors. The navigator was created in the form of a mobile application,” Losev said.

According to him, thanks to Rospatent, two patents were obtained for this development, one of which made it possible to quickly digitize the premises and the second — directly for orientation inside the premises.

“We are grateful to the center for assistance to advanced technologies of Rospatent for the fact that they supported the guys, helped to make applications for registration,” Losev said.
