Monetochka was recommended to be listened to by music service Spotify as part of its “Equal” campaign to support women in the music industry. According to the statistics of the service, only one in five performers on the music chart is a woman. It is also noted that the service has a playlist ‘Equal Russia’ which contains the songs of Russian performers.

Lisa emphasized that she would not have dared to dream about this before. According to her, the idea that a poet should be a man and a woman can only be a muse is outdated. The singer called people for accepting a common cultural past and leaving it behind.

“I don’t know why there are so few women in music. But I know for sure that now we all really need support and love. Let’s try to be honest and kind. Let’s tell our daughters and grandmothers about our idols, share with them everything that we know about freedom,” Lisa asked.
