Russia’s State Duma Speaker, Vyacheslav Volodin, holds a meeting with the leaders of Duma factions on the results of referendums in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR), as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions before the beginning of the plenary session of the chamber.
“Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, holds a meeting with the leaders of political factions before the start of the plenary session. The results of referendums in the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are being discussed,” the message says.
Earlier, Volodin said in his Telegram channel, addressing residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, that if a decision was made to join the Russian Federation, the State Duma would support it.
As reminded, from September 23 to 27, 2022, referendums on the entry of the above-mentioned regions into Russia as subjects of the Russian Federation were held. In all these regions, the overwhelming majority of those who voted were in favor of joining the Russian Federation.
“This decision saves millions of people from genocide. It gives us the opportunity to make plans for the future TOGETHER,” he wrote.
The picture shows the votes for joining Russia: the LPR – 98,42%, the DPR – 99,23%, Kherson – 87,05%, and Zaporozhye – 93,11%.
