The cost of a tour for foreigners for vaccination in Russia can range from $1.5 to $2.5 thousand, excluding air travel, TASS reports with reference to the President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST) Andrei Ignatiev. He noted that this is an amount in case of a foreigner staying in the country for 21 days.
Ignatiev clarified that technically a tourist product for the vaccination of foreigners in Russia is ready but it is necessary to resolve the issue of the entry of such tourists into the country. Earlier, Ru-Main wrote that Russian clinics are ready to accept foreigners for vaccination as soon as this process is regulated at the state level.
The head of the RST explained that since a large percentage of the European population has already been vaccinated, vaccine tours could be of interest to residents of Asian countries, including India, as well as countries of the Middle East, for example, Iran, and countries of Africa and Latin America.
“This is a combination of vaccination with a cultural and excursion programme which can be made very interesting, capturing different regions of Russia. Another option is a two-week trip, there are also such requests,” Ignatiev noted.
It is expected that vaccine tours can become a good support for tour operators in conditions of almost zero tourist flow into the country for more than a year now. Three-week tours for foreigners can help start its recovery.
