Analysts of the Tutu.ru travel service named the most popular foreign air destinations among Russians this May, which became known from the results of the study conducted by the online platform’s specialists.
According to the data obtained, Yerevan (Armenia), Istanbul (Turkey), and Baku (Azerbaijan) are the most popular among Russian tourists. Their share in the total structure of search queries in total accounts for about 11 per cent.
About 3 per cent of Russians flying abroad are going to the capital of Uzbekistan, 2 per cent of travelers decide to go to the large city of Osh in Kyrgyzstan, as well as to Antalya (Turkey), Bishkek (Kirghizia), and Dushanbe (Tajikistan). Also, Russians are interested in holidays in Tel Aviv (Israel), Chisinau (Moldova), Minsk (Belarus), Belgrade (Serbia), and Tbilisi (Georgia).
At the same time, it is noted that the amount of booking air tickets abroad remains low — among those who purchased travel documents from May 1 to May 11, 74 per cent planned a flight in the same month, 18 per cent bought tickets for June, 6 per cent for July, and less than 2 per cent for August and September of this year.
