Russian woman, Olga Davydova, plunged to a depth of 71 metres without scuba gear and set a world record. She held her breath and dived into the Blue Lake in Kabardino-Balkaria, where the water temperature was only 8 degrees.
It is noted that the day before, Davydova dived to a depth of 65 metres and felt well. It is also specified that the fact that the lake was fresh made it easier for the girl to dive, as saltwater would have an increased density and it would be more difficult for her to reach the depth.
