Russian Zetta Electric Car Starts Production in Beginning of 2020

The cost of Zetta in the basic configuration will be 450 thousand rubles.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, announced the start date for the production of the first Russian electric car Zetta. Serial production of the electric car is scheduled to begin in the I quarter of 2020. Zetta certification is at the final stage.

According to the head of the department, the Russian electric car is in many ways unique, especially concerning the universal energy-efficient traction electric motor. The Zetta electric car was originally conceived for people with disabilities. Zetta is 90% composed of Russian components, except only batteries shipped from China.

Zetta is a compact three-door electric car. The maximum speed of the electric car is 120 km/h. The first Russian electric car will be available in three versions, the cheapest of which is front-wheel drive, and the other two are all-wheel drive.
