This summer, clothing, shoes, and goods for children are quite popular among Russians. According to a study conducted by an Internet-Shop ‘Wildberries’, the sales of children’s products in June grew by 137% comparing with the previous year. The turnover of children’s goods amounted to 28.4 billion rubles, KazanFirst reported.
In total, over the past 3 months, more than 5.9 million toys, over 1.1 million units of baby food, and 1.1 million diapers have been bought by the country residents. The most popular were clothes and shoes (186% sales growth), toys (226%), and goods for newborns (228%). As for the baby food, baby purees (2,604%), breast milk substitutes (1,103%), and dietary infant formulas (1,118%) showed the greatest dynamics in sales. In the category of toys, electronic drawing tablets (2,183%) and toy trains and locomotives (894%) became leaders. The largest growth in the segment of goods for newborns was electric breast pumps (550%) and child car seats (424%).
