Among the films about the Great Patriotic War, Russians prefer to watch “Only Old Men Are Going to Battle”, according to the results of a survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre (VTsIOM), RIA Novosti reports.

According to the research results, the film “Only Old Men Are Going to Battle” is liked by 27 per cent of Russians. The second place was shared by “The Dawns Here Are Quiet” and “Officers” (14 per cent each, respectively). The third position is occupied by the film “They Fought for Their Country” (12 per cent).
Answering the question: “If on May 9 you had the opportunity to sing songs dedicated to the Great Patriotic War with your loved ones, what songs would you sing first?”, the majority of respondents named “Victory Day” (59 per cent) and “Katyusha” (57 per cent). The respondents also mentioned “Smuglyanka” (31 per cent) and “Cranes” (21 per cent).
