Russians told what changes in cities could improve the quality of their life. The corresponding research was carried out by the services of urban mobility “Citymobil” and ResearchMe, RT reports. Kazan, Ufa, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Volgograd turned out to be the leaders in the rating of cities whose residents are satisfied with the infrastructure.
According to the survey results, the majority of respondents (80 percent) would like their way from home to work to take no more than 30 minutes a day. For this, according to the respondents, it is necessary to improve the transport infrastructure of their cities. More than 30 percent of Russians believe that taxis should be made a more common kind of transport in cities, as well as the number of minibuses should be increased.
About 28 percent of respondents support the idea of reducing the number of private cars, and 25 percent of respondents supported the initiative to develop services for renting electric scooters and bicycles. In addition, 9 percent of Russians believe that it is necessary to promote the car-sharing system. About half of all those who took part in the survey claimed that cities need to be greened, while others added that it is necessary to install containers for separate waste collection in cities and organize accessible Wi-Fi (31 percent and 28 percent, respectively).
