Russian senior students told which faculty they would like to enter in 2020, RT reports with reference to the data provided by the Skysmart Interactive Workbook service.
Analysts stated that 20 per cent students are going to enter the Faculty of Information Technology, 12 per cent of applicants would like to enter the Faculty of Medicine, 10 per cent voted for the Economics Faculty, 9 per cent for the Law Faculty, and 7 per cent for the Mechanical and Mathematical Faculty. The top 10 also included the Humanitarian Faculty (the Department of Foreign Languages), the Physics Faculty, and the Biological Faculty.
In addition, 3 per cent of eleventh graders said they were not going to enter a higher education institution in 2020. The vast majority (88 per cent) of respondents emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic did not in any way affect their decision to enter a university or choice of faculty.
