Russian Ministry of Culture called on country residents to sing David Tukhmanov’s song to the verses of Vladimir Kharitonov “Victory Day” as part of the All-Russian action #SingingVictoryDay, the Ministry’s official website reports.
It is stated that the song can be performed standing on the balcony or by the window, holding traditional standards or photographs with portraits of relatives, participants of the Great Patriotic War, or rear workers. The country’s musicians will also join the action.
The main TV and radio channels of the country will show Russians the performance after the traditional minute of silence at 7 pm on May 9. The participants in the event are invited to record their performances on video and post it on social networks.
