Russians Listed Top 5 New Year’s Films

The Nevskie Novosti portal has compiled a selection of Soviet New Year films that will help Russians create a festive mood. The top 5 includes “Jack Frost” and “Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka” directed by Alexander Rou, “The Twelve Months” by the ‘Lenfilm’ studio, as well as “Carnival Night” and “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!” by Eldar Ryazanov.

Also, TsargradTV compared the salaries of modern actors with the salaries of Soviet stars. It turned out that during the Soviet era, there was a developed state document, which indicated all the official salaries that were in force before the collapse of the USSR. The highest category of the film world included two groups: the first one was called the “bright talents” and the second one was the “significant characters.” During filming, they received 450 and 350 rubles, respectively. The crowd members received from 65 to 80 rubles.
