Russian tourists named the best trains they had to travel on in 2020, RIA News reports with reference to the Tutu.ru travel service.
The company’s specialists studied more than 100 thousand responses that passengers left after travelling from January 1 to December 31, 2020, on 258 routes, and made a rating of the best trains. Travellers assessed the general impression of a train, the attitude of the staff towards them, the condition and novelty of a carriage, as well as the cleanliness of a toilet.
According to the results of the study, the list is headed by a train running between Rostov-on-Don and Novorossiysk, in which 88 per cent of tourists rated rail travel positively in 2020. It is noted that over the past three years this figure has increased by 6 per cent.
It turned out that train passengers pay special attention to the cleanliness and comfort of the seats in the seated carriages and the shelves in the compartment and reserved seat. They paid special attention to toilets, noting the timeliness of their cleaning. Among the disadvantages, respondents mentioned the lack of outlets and unstable Wi-Fi.
