The experts of the Rabota.ru job search service, in partnership with Sberbank, have found out what factors employees of Russian companies consider to be the most important for moving up the career ladder.
According to the results of the survey, almost half of respondents (46 per cent) consider work experience to be the most important factor for career growth. Diligence occupied second place (41 per cent). Another 40 per cent of those surveyed indicated the importance of good relations with their bosses. The level of competence (37 per cent) and regular professional development (31 per cent) closed the top 5 conditions for career growth.
In addition, individual psychological personality traits turned out to be important for career advancement among 29 per cent of respondents, 27 per cent emphasized the importance of motivation, 24 per cent mentioned initiative and 21 per cent of respondents indicated the presence of specialized education as the main factor for a work promotion. Also, the importance of relationships with colleagues, working conditions, and physical health were included in the list.
