Programmer and top manager are the most prestigious professions according to the most Russians who took part in the HeadHunter recruiting service research, RIA News reports.
According to the results of the survey, most of the respondents voted for the profession of a programmer (17 per cent), director or top manager (13 per cent), president, and engineer or doctor (4 per cent each). Deputies and civil servants gained 3 per cent each. Among the most low-profile professions survey participants named a cleaner (17 per cent), a salesman or cashier (13 per cent), and a janitor (12 per cent).
It is specified that among the criteria that determine the prestige of a particular profession, respondents most often named the size of wages (74 per cent), social respect (58 per cent), and the ability to get social benefits (51 per cent).
