Specialists of the analytical centre of the Tutu.ru travel service found out what active and extreme kinds of sport Russians prefer to do in their free time, RIA Novosti reports.
It turned out that the list of the most favourite active and extreme sports of Russians is headed by climbing and trekking for which 16 per cent of respondents voted. In second place in popularity is horseback riding which 14 per cent of respondents are fond of. The top three closed rafting (kayaking) with a result of 11 per cent.
In addition, the top five also included snowboarding and alpine skiing (10 per cent), as well as aeroplane and helicopter flights (8 per cent). In addition, 7 per cent of the respondents love jeep tours and motorcycling (including mountain biking, ATVs, and motocross). Diving is preferred by 6 per cent of respondents.
Other water-related activities are also popular, such as wakeboarding, jet skiing, surfing, windsurfing, or stand up paddleboarding. Parachuting and base jumping were also mentioned.
