Otkritie Bank conducted the all-Russian survey and found out how Russians were going to celebrate February 23 and March 8, om1.ru reports. The survey showed what people would like to receive as a gift.
Money and certificates appeared to be the best gift for both men and women, though women prefer to give gifts, while men are more likely to receive them. Women are more active with congratulations: 99% of women congratulate relatives and friends the Women’s Day, while 95% of men congratulate their close ones on February 23.
Only 5% of men and 3% of women do not congratulate anyone on the Defender of the Fatherland Day, and 2% of men and 1% of women do not congratulate anyone on the Women’s Day. Money is by far the most desirable gift both for men (57%) and women (61%).
Men plan to spend more money on a gift than women, that is 43% of men are ready to spend 1,000–3,000 rubles, while 49% of women plan to spend up to 1,000 rubles. At the same time, 57% of men and 53% of women would like to spend as much on holidays as last year, 24% – more, and 11% less than last year.
