Experts of the Rabota.ru job search service conducted a study and found out whether the gender of a boss is important for Russians. In the course of the study, it turned out that for the majority of the surveyed (53 per cent) the gender of a boss does not matter.
However, 35 per cent of the respondents indicated that they are ready to work only under the leadership of men, and only 12 per cent prefer female bosses. According to the results of a similar survey last year, 42 per cent of Russian residents would like to work only with male bosses, while only 7 per cent of respondents preferred to work under the leadership of women.
It is noted that for Russian men this year, the gender of bosses was a little less important than for women. Of all the participants in the study, 55 per cent of men do not pay attention to the gender of a boss (versus 53 per cent of women with the same point of view). It is specified that women would more often like to choose male bosses (36 per cent of respondents versus 33 per cent of male participants with the same answer).
