In February, Russians will be able to observe the conjunction of the planets in the sky at dawn several times. The best visibility of this phenomenon may be in the southern regions of Russia, TASS reports with reference to a senior researcher at the Institute of Applied Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences Nikolay Zheleznov.
The specialist noted that these phenomena can be seen in any territory at dawn. So, the conjunction of Venus with Jupiter is expected on February 11, 2021. The planets will be in an interval of about 0.4 degrees during this encounter. Also, Mercury will approach Venus on February 10, 2021. In addition, Mercury will approach Jupiter on February 15, 2021.
The expert advises those who have a wish to see such phenomena, should climb somewhere on the mountain at dawn, where there is an open horizon on the east side, and immediately before sunrise, the phenomena will become visible there.
