The national project “Safe and high-quality roads” went beyond the boundaries of the Novosibirsk agglomeration and covered all areas of the region. The implementation of the project and other programs for the construction, reconstruction and repair of roads was discussed on November 29 at a press conference. 
The volume of the repaired road surface as part of the national project in 2019 amounted to almost 2 million square meters. The most important in the national project is that it has gone beyond the framework of the Novosibirsk metropolitan area and is implementing decrees of the President of Russia in terms of bringing the regional network of roads into normative condition, including in rural areas.
Until 2024, the task was set to bring 46% of the regional road network into compliance, for this it is necessary to repair 1,187 kilometres. Also, it is required to maintain the rest of the road network in a normative state, to ensure safe and unhindered passage. According to the results of 2019, 204.5 kilometres of roads were repaired as part of a national project in the Novosibirsk Region, the total volume of the repaired road surface was almost 2 million square meters. Financing for the national project amounted to 6.1 million rubles.
For 2020, the draft regional budget provides for the amount of the road fund for about 13 billion rubles, 4.5 billion rubles will be allocated for the national project. It is also planned to work with the federal centre to allocate funds for the construction of roads to the new LDS and the fourth bridge.
