Samara region successfully fulfils all the indicators of the national project “Labor Productivity and Employment Support.” The region was pilot in launching a project to increase labour productivity in the country.
Now the region is one of the five leading Russian regions, both in terms of the number of enterprises participating in the state program, 90 applications have been filed, and by effective results.
At the end of 2017, in the Samara Region, a dozen companies entered the first wave of the national project. Therefore, the principles of lean manufacturing, introduced at enterprises, have already yielded results, including financial ones. Moreover, if the program declared an increase in output of five per cent per year, then at Samara enterprises the indicators are much higher.
Deputy general director of the Sredne-Volzhsky Mechanical Plant, Sergey Chernov, said that after optimizing the pilot production flow, labour productivity in terms of one employee increased by 48 per cent. The volume of work in progress and the duration of the production process decreased significantly. This has already allowed increasing salaries in the flow by 23-32 per cent.
