Moscow authorities will return 495 million rubles in taxes of the last year to self-employed, the official website of the Moscow Mayor reports with reference to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Economic Policy and Property Vladimir Yefimov.
It is noted that currently, 275 thousand people are registered as self-employed in Moscow. The total tax amounted to more than 54 billion rubles. Payments were made to 194 thousand people who in 2019 paid a tax on professional income. According to Yefimov, many Muscovites prefer independent activity, which allows them to pay income taxes, as well as receive support during a crisis.
