The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being (Rospotrebnadzor) summarized the results of the hotline on the safety of children’s goods.
From December 2 to December 20, 2019, the Russians received over 10 thousand consultations. Most often, callers were interested in the quality and safety of sweet New Year’s gifts, children’s toys, electronic gadgets, children’s clothing and shoes, goods for winter sports and entertainment, rental conditions.
In a number of cases, Rospotrebnadzor took administrative measures based on reports from citizens. In particular, in the Amur Region, more than 3 thousand Chinese-made toys that emit an unpleasant odor and do not have proper labeling were withdrawn from circulation.
In 239 cases, the applicants were helped to make claims to unscrupulous sellers, according to Rospotrebnadzor official website.
