Sibir Hockey Club Beat Avtomobilist in First Match of KHL Playoffs

Novosibirsk Sibir hockey club won an away victory over Yekaterinburg Avtomobilist club in the first meeting of the quarterfinal series of the Gagarin Cup 2020 in the Eastern Conference, the official website of the KHL reports.

The match ended with a score of 2:0 in favour of the Novosibirsk team. Nikolai Zavarukhin showed his skills already in the first period. The goal was scored by the Finnish striker Juuso Puustinen.

At the end of the third period, Avtomobilist coaching staff decided to remove goalkeeper Vladimir Galkin. This was used by hockey players from the enemy team, thus Evgeniy Chesalin calmly shot the empty gates of the team. The second game will be held on March 4, in Yekaterinburg.
