The CEO at Siemens Gas Turbine Technologies, Nico Petzold, advised the next German government to approach Russia with common challenges in mind.
The CEO noted that in the situation of current challenges like the pandemic or climate change which are affecting everyone, including Russia and Germany, the two countries can only manage to overcome all the obstacles and cope with the problems together.
“It is not wise to go back to nationalism and confrontation,” Petzold said.
The head of the company noted that leaving the politics aside, the two countries should “come to a reality”.
“I hope that a future government in Germany will realize and address all challenges, including on the international level, with common sense in mind,” Petzold concluded.
