Space Explorers: Documentary Series Nominated for Primetime Emmy Award

The “Space Explorers” documentary series in virtual reality format by the Canadian company Felix&Paul Studios has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in the “Outstanding Interactive Programmes” category, according to the official website of the Russian state space corporation (Roscosmos).

The series tells about human space exploration and includes both terrestrial episodes about the training of cosmonauts and astronauts, and those filmed aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

It is noted that Roscosmos has been an official partner of Felix & Paul Studios since 2017, and Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexander Misurkin and Fyodor Yurchikhin took part in filming cosmonaut training for the Vzlet series. Also, Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Ryzhikov participated in the filming and were operators and actors during the 64th long expedition to the ISS in 2020-2021.
