In Russia, on June 25 is traditionally celebrated Day of the Seafarer. On this day, in the capital of Russia Moskvarium organized meetings with travellers, the marine workshop, and much more, the official website of the Moscow Mayor reports.
The holiday is dedicated to those whose work and life are connected with the seas and oceans. A special programme for the holiday includes both online events and events that will take place in the territory of the exhibition at VDNKh. Children will make a trip to the oceanarium, in which more than 12,000 aquatic inhabitants live, such as sharks, rays, caimans, turtles, octopuses. Children under 12 years old will have a chance to attend events for free if they come in life vests. It is noted that performances of Asian otters and Baikal seals will also take place, and a film about explorations of the oceans and sea voyages will be shown, and much more.
