Tatarstan State Committee on Tourism is looking for a place to create a camping site in Kazan where tourists travelling in motorhomes can stay for some time, KazanFirst reports.
The committee believes that in the near future auto camping will actively develop in the republic, and the first step in this direction will be the creation of an official site for auto camping in the capital. It is noted that the first International Forum on Autotourism is planned to be held there in 2022 as part of the International FICC Rally.
Moreover, this year it is planned to introduce a unified electronic visa for citizens of 52 foreign countries, who will be able to obtain the right to stay in the republic for 16 days. It is expected that such a mechanism will, among other things, increase the flow of tourists travelling by motorhomes.
