St. Petersburg Sportswoman With Disabilities Won World Cup in Curling

St. Petersburg athlete with disabilities, Anna Karpushina, for the first time in the history of St. Petersburg wheelchair curling became the winner of the World Cup in the Russian national team, the charitable fund Tochka Opory reports.

The championship was held in Switzerland. The teams from 12 countries took part in it, they were Canada, Russia, China, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Korea, Latvia, Norway, Scotland, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland.

The Russian team for the fourth time became the winner of the World Cup in curling. Anna Karpushina participated in the World Cup for the first time. Her medal is the first award of such a rank in wheelchair curling in the St. Petersburg sports history.
