Russians were mostly indifferent to the opening of borders with Turkey, RT reports with reference to the data provided by OneTwoTrip poll. Only one in four respondents (24 per cent) were glad to receive this news.
Half of the respondents said they reacted with indifference to the opportunity to go to Turkey, another 26 per cent of the survey participants said they were unhappy with the opening of the borders, while 7.4 per cent of Russians were definitely ready to fly to Turkey. It is also noted that about 7 per cent of citizens have not yet decided if they would like to go there, and almost 80 per cent do not plan a vacation in this country.
However, over the week (from July 24 to July 29) the number of bookings to Turkey has increased almost tenfold compared to the previous week. It is specified that the first Russian international flight departed from the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport to Istanbul at 07.45 am Moscow time. This was evidenced by the data on the airport’s online board on Saturday morning, August 1, 2020.
