This year the City Day in Chelyabinsk coincided with the Tanker’s Day and was celebrated on September 13. In honour of this event, Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant arranged a farewell to the tank column to the front, chelTV reports. One of the most iconic days of the spring of 1945 was reconstructed when the crews of the Ural Volunteer Corps liberated Prague.
It is noted that the reconstruction became a film set and will become a short film about the heroism of the ChTZ workers. According to legend, the tankers of the Ural Corps, as in the war, are escorted to the front by women and children who are workers of the plant. They assembled formidable machines that they called “a punishing sword”. It is specified that the weapons and equipment of Soviet soldiers are fully consistent with the era.
