In Tatarstan, hotel occupancy has reached the pre-crisis level (70 per cent), KazanFirst reports with reference to the President of the Association of Hotels in Kazan and Tatarstan Gulnara Safina.
It is noted that in June, in the republic, the utilization of accommodation facilities due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection did not exceed 15 per cent, and in July it rose to 30 per cent.
“August brought us back to pre-crisis levels. Four and five-star hotels were occupied by 65 per cent, and hotels of three stars and lower, by 75 per cent. Thus, the average load in the last month of the summer was close to 70 per cent,” Safina said.
According to Safina, the positive dynamics was provided by the resumption of group trips of tourists, including the programmes that guarantee families with children free accommodation for a child and a tourist cashback. It is specified that in September the percentage of hotel occupancy in Tatarstan is higher than a year earlier (50 per cent).
