Tatarstan Scientists to Create Robot That Builds House in Week

The Deputy Head of the NTI Competence Centre on the basis of “Technology of Robotics and Mechatronics Components” Innopolis, Alexander Maloletov, said that within two years the university scientists are going to complete the creation of a cable robot that can build a two-story house in a week using 3D printing, KazanFirst reports.

It is noted that the development of a cable robot builder began in the autumn of 2019 and will last until 2022. According to Maloletov, the use of robots reduces the time of work and the number of people at a construction site. All you need to do is set up towers with stairs at the right distances to build the building mixture in a special tank, set parameters and start the 3D printing process. The scalability of robots is limited only by the height of the towers. It is specified that the maximum height of the planned houses is 8 metres, which is two floors.
