In Moscow, 33 million annual flowers were planted in the city parks and squares. In total, the city will have over 1.2 million perennials, which is twice as much as in 2019. The Moscow Department of Housing and Communal Services compiled a rating of the most spectacular flower gardens of the city.
The flower garden in the square near the Bolshoi Theatre is made in an ornamental style. Classical motifs emphasize the ensemble of the square, the central element of which is the building of the theatre. The total area of all flower beds is more than 400 square metres, which are decorated with more than 30,000 annuals.
The territory of the central clinical building of the Research Institute of Emergency Medicine named after N. V. Sklifosovsky is decorated with flower beds in the style of noble estates. The yard was made in the shape of a horseshoe and is complemented by 2 flowerbeds with a round ornament. The total area is more than 330 square metres, where about 30,000 perennial flowers have been planted.
The Novopushkinsky square decorated a flower garden with an area of more than 320 square metres. Its strict geometric ornament emphasizes the granite lines of the fountain, giving the composition a solemnity.
