Russian tourism industry experts analyzed the demand for summer vacations in July and August 2020 of the reservation service “Sanatorium-Russia” and compiled a rating of Russian resorts for recreation in the high summer season, TurStat reports.
The top five included Crimea, Sochi, Anapa (the Krasnodar Territory), Kislovodsk, and Essentuki. Gelendzhik, Pyatigorsk, Zheleznovodsk, the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the Moscow Region are also popular. It is specified that in Sochi for accommodation, meals, and treatment you will have to pay an average of 3,900 rubles per day, in the Crimea, it is 3,450 rubles, and in Anapa, 3,760 rubles.
The top 25 areas of demand for holidays in the high summer season also included the Altai Republic, the Leningrad, Chelyabinsk, Samara, and Nizhny Novgorod Regions, the Republic of Chuvashia, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Karelia, the Yaroslavl Region, Perm Territory, the Sverdlovsk, Tula, Kaliningrad, Ivanovo, and Novosibirsk regions.
