The governor of the Chelyabinsk region, Alexei Teksler, came up with an initiative to reduce the transport tax rate. In September 2019, the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the region considered and adopted amendments to the regional law, chelTV reported.
Thus, the rate was reduced by 30 per cent for owners of passenger cars with up to 150 horsepower and for owners of motorcycles and scooters with engines of up to 36 horsepower.
“Already in 2020, our citizens receive tax notifications with a reduced tax amount. We have about a million vehicles registered. 800 thousand citizens will see reduced amounts in the receipt by almost 318 million rubles,” the head of the property taxation department of the Federal Tax Service of the Chelyabinsk Region, Tatyana Polokhina, said.
Also, by the decision of parliamentarians, a 50 per cent discount was established for owners of trucks and organizations whose buses run using gas.
