London has no plans to return to normal relations with Russia, British Foreign Minister, James Cleverly, said on the eve of the G20 summit.

“What we are not going to do is normalize relations with Russia,” he said on Sky News, answering a question about whether British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak would have held talks with Vladimir Putin if he had attended a meeting of G20 leaders.
Cleverly added that Britain is going to criticize the Russian delegation because of the situation in Ukraine. Later, he also noted that some countries express their disapproval “not as openly” as Britain would like, and the kingdom will continue to advocate “international condemnation” of the actions of the Russian authorities. Special attention, according to him, the country will put on China’s position on the issue.
Earlier, the Kremlin, commenting on the prospects of relations with London, said that now they see “no prerequisites, no grounds, no hopes that there will be any positive changes in the foreseeable future.” They added that “Russia maintains its openness and readiness to discuss the most difficult issues at the negotiating table, but not to the detriment of its own interests.”
